Not all classes are offered or running every session. A  minimum of five fully registered participants are required to run a class. If you would like to request a class or have a group together for a class contact Judy!

YOGA
Judy received her 'Interdisciplinary Yoga' Teacher's certificate from the Nosara Yoga Institute's one-month intensive in Costa Rica in Feb. 2002. www.nosarayoga.com This style of Hatha Yoga incorporates exercise techniques and awarenesses from various disciplines such as Pilates, Somatics & Feldenkrais. Classes are offered out of her home studio three times a year running for an eight week session. A minimum of five students is required to run a class and a maximum of 12 can be accommodated. This small class encourages Judy's close attention and comradeship amongst the participants. Mats, blocks, straps and blankets are supplied. Providing your name and phone number is considered as registration and your space is being reserved. Fees are due at the first class before it begins so arrive early.

DVDs of the Introductory Class teachings are available for students to purchase at $20. It consists of three 20 min. routines to follow individually or combined. To order contact Judy.

Try Out Yoga - This is not a pre-requisite for the eight week program. You can use this class to determine whether you even enjoy yoga before you register for a longer program. It is offered as one class immediately before the eight-week programs begin and can be used to identify which class you're better suited for. It briefly introduces you to the concept of yoga in a typical class routine with the basics of breath, technique and sample postures from the Introductory and Gentle Levels. What's taught here will be repeated more in depth in the eight week program.
$12 - one class 1 1/2 hour class

Gentle Yoga - a class spent on the floor and using chairs with the easiest of stretches and challenge to accomodate a gentle return to flexibility and strength.
$60 - 8 weeks 1 hr class

Introductory - Provides a foundation for all yoga practices teaching terms, technique, awarenesses and alignment for basic postures as well as a fundemental breathing and relaxation practice. .
$72 - 8 weeks 1 1/2 hour class

Beginner - Judy's Beginner classe exposes the student to an extensive amount of information and postures so you can experience the possibilities of yoga and take it home with you for your own practice. Plenty of verbal guidance, demonstration amd explanation is given for what is learned.
$72 - 8 weeks 1 1/2 hr class

Intermediate - all the practices of Beginner and several more challenging ones. Time is taken now to hold the postures longer, improving strength, breath and internal focus (body/mind awareness) Awareness of the subtle sensation of PRANA(life energy)is increasing and meditation practices are also introduced.
$72 - 8 weeks 1 1/2 hr class

Children's Yoga - Judy has a Certificate of Completion in Levels 1 & 2 of the Radiant Child Yoga Program presented by the director Shakta Kaur Kalsa in a weekend intensive in Chicago on Sept.7 2003. This class is presented in a fun 'camp style' manner with games and stories. An adult family member is encouraged to register along with the child.
$30 - 4 weeks, 45 min. ages 5-11

Moms and Babies - post-natal yoga for mothers to regain tone and personal power in their core/abdominal area. Babies need to be six weeks old, cannot walk yet and are incorporated into the practice. An accepting attitude in class allows the babies to be themselves to explore the room, visit, be nursed, etc.
$64 - 8 weeks 1hr class

Yoga Groupie - One private class offered to five or more people at their place or mine. Great activity for a weekend get-together!
$12 per participant plus mileage. 1hr class

Morning Class - A continuous flow of yoga led at the beginner level without specific teaching. Students are invited to follow however they are best able to without feeling they need to keep up.
$72 - 8 weeks 1 1/2 hr class

MEDITATION Along with Judy's yoga training comes a meditation practice. To augment these teachings she attained a certificate of completion in Meditation with Natural Health Institutes in January 2007 and has extensively researched relative literature by reknowned authors.
Meditate Simply * Simply Meditate - Along with theoretical awareness the participant is guided through a meditation which increases in length for each class. It's a relaxed, accepting approach with clear, eye opening information to piece together your own unique, personal practice. Offered bi-annually in April and October. Everyone deserves to know and experience the benefits of meditating.
